When you create a billable category, there are two fields: one for the name of the category, and one for the hourly rate. The app also has tools for logging set one-time expenses, like transportation reimbursement and materials costs.

You can start by entering some of the projects on your roster and typical tasks (called "categories") that show up on your clients' bills, but it's not necessary, as you can just as easily enter projects and tasks as they come up. OfficeTime takes no time at all to set up.
